Announcement 19th Annual Conference of the Munich Finance Forum

Capital markets and risk transfer under a new regime

The war of aggression in Ukraine, disruptions in global trade and supply chains, and deglobalization trends are shaping our times. The associated risks on the commodity markets and the high inflation they have triggered present the global economy with significant challenges, some of which are new.

A new regime has already been established on the capital markets due to the significant rise in interest rates and inflation expectations. Bonds are once again making a nominal contribution to investment income. For investors, however, the main question is how long-term equity allocation must be geared to ensure the best possible participation in global growth potential in the new world order. At the same time, the possibility of risk transfer must be kept in mind in the event of sudden illiquidity in the markets. In addition, sustainability requirements for capital investment will be on the agenda, especially in the large capital collection institutions that take care of pension assets.

The 19th annual conference of the Münchner Finance Forum e.V. will deal with structural change, new opportunities, and risk transfer on the capital markets under a new regime. In lectures and discussions, we will try to classify the developments and develop a picture of the future. Speakers from academia and practice will take different perspectives and inspire the debate.
