FDC Events is proud to announce the success of the 8th Frankfurter Kapitalmarkt Kolloquium. The Kolloquium, hosted the iconic Goethe University, was curated for the asset and wealth management industry and saw an eclectic mix of portfolio managers, institutional investors, banks and wealth managers.

 

As is the mission of the Kapitalmarkt Kolloquium, the event delved into pertinent topics impacting the industry, alluding to innovations and future pathways for the asset manager.

 

Post a welcome with refreshments, Sandra Brosch, Lampe Asset Management GmbH , set the tone of the event with an engaging session on innovative Option Strategies for Volatility Spreads. The session also underlined the evolving approach to risk management strategies.

 

Roland Meier, Privé Technologies, then addressed an ever increasing topic within the financial industry – that of the integration and implications of AI and Machine Learning into asset and portfolio management services. With an increasing integration of technological tools and AI into multiple aspects of business operations, AI has the potential to equip managers into making prudent investment decision making.

 

Set against the backdrop of an elite academic institution, Sarju Gudka, Cboe Global Markets, elucidated on 0DTE Options Trading. His discourse presented interesting data points about 0DTE Options Trading in the USA, dispelling biases and myths about the scope of ODTE Options. It also elaborated on the scope and future pathway within European indices.

 

Lastly, eminent professionals such as Dr. Tilo Dresig (Viridium Gruppe), Stephan Schneider, MBA (Lampe Asset Management GmbH), Roland Meier (Privé Technologies) and Mario Gloeckner (FE fundinfo) – all from complementary aspects of the asset management value chain participated in a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Alexis Eisenhofer (financial.com AG). The industry has taken cognizance of the fact that passive investments over-taking active investments in the USA for the first time in history. What ramifications does it have for institutions and retailers was the crux of the discussion.

 

The evening also saw impactful networking amongst peers, colleagues and acquaintances within the industry, exchanging ideas on a range of topics: from Emerging Markets to consolidation within the industry, to name a few.

 

After successful Kolloquiums across Munich, Zurich and Frankfurt in the first half of 2024, the Kolloquium hopes to address further topics of interest and relevance for the industry in the second half of the year.

Dr. Alexis Eisenhofer

Alexis Eisenhofer studied economics with a focus on capital market research at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He then completed his doctorate there as well with a dissertation on the topic of “Optimal equity ratio in the life cycle”. He is a founding partner and board member of financial.com, a provider of securities information systems based in Munich, Frankfurt, Aschaffenburg, Toronto and Kochi. He is also the organizer of specialist conferences on financial IT and investment topics and the author of three specialist books.

Sandra Brosch

Sandra Brosch is Head of Client Portfolio Management Systematic Investing at Lampe Assetmanagement. She started here as a portfolio manager in February 2017. After studying business administration at the University of Mannheim (Dipl.-Kffr. degree) in 2011, she worked as a portfolio manager for absolute return and capital preservation strategies at Metzler Asset Management GmbH. Ms. Brosch was responsible for four mutual funds and a large number of special funds for institutional clients. She has a total of 14 years of professional experience in the securities sector.

Roland Meier

Roland Meier is co-founder of Privé Technologies in Europe. He completed his law degree at the University of Vienna. He has many years of experience in information technology in combination with financial services. The focus is on data management, market data and front-end solutions for financial service providers. He also has extensive knowledge in the areas of portfolio management, trading systems, fund issues and product-side business development for new financial services offerings.

Sarju Gudka

Sarju Gudka is Director, EMEA Derivatives Sales, at Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe). Based in London, Gudka is responsible for managing relationships with Cboe’s buy- and sell-side customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

In this role, Gudka identifies opportunities to raise awareness of Cboe’s products and marketplace by providing education and observations about European and U.S. listed derivatives markets. Additionally, Gudka helps develop new products and refine existing products, whilst increasing geographical coverage and strengthen relationships with partners.

Previously, Gudka built and managed a profitable emerging market delta-1 trading business at a Tier 1 investment bank, running the global EM and EMEA linear derivative books, with mandates on index, single stock and basket financing, cash/futures and listing arbitrage, special situations and proprietary risk taking.

Gudka holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University College London.

Dr. Tilo Dresig

Dr. Tilo Dresig has been the CEO of the Viridium Group since August 2021 and additionally oversees the departments of Asset Management, Internal Audit, Communications, and Legal Affairs. Prior to this role, he served as the CFO of the Viridium Group since joining in 2018, where he was responsible for Accounting & Controlling, Asset Management, Actuarial Services, Taxes, Procurement, Treasury, and M&A. As CFO, Tilo Dresig notably managed the financial integration of Generali Lebensversicherung (now Proxalto) and aligned the financial and asset management activities to meet the demands of Viridium as one of the largest life insurance groups in Germany.

Stephan Schneider

As department director in the Institutional Sales Team at Lampe Asset Management, Stephan is responsible for supporting insurance companies as well as multi-family offices and asset managers. During his part-time Bachelor and MBA studies, he already gained experience in supporting wealthy private customers as well as in the FinTech sector. He then started at MSCI in the index area, where he looked after large asset managers in the DACH region. He brings extensive experience in the area of ​​liquid capital investments, both active and passive, and is considered a sales expert.

Mario Gloeckner

Mario Gloeckner is currently the Regional Sales Director for the DACH region and Italy at FE fundinfo. He is a trained banker and holds a master’s degree in Strategic Management from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT (USA). Before joining FE fundinfo, he worked for various financial institutions in Europe and the USA, including in the mutual fund sector, and gained extensive experience in fund distribution and marketing. With his many years of industry experience and fluency in five languages, he has built an extensive network of experts across Europe.
